Featured Film & Talk Back: Raising Bar
As part of AMPLIFY: An Evening for Equity, guests experienced a screening of Raising Bar, a powerful documentary from High Spirit Community Farm that explores inclusion, independence, and innovative community living for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Following the screening, NEEC hosted a special Talk Back conversation with Lesley Eshelman, Director of Advisory at High Spirit Community Farm. This engaging discussion connected the themes of the film to the urgent need for affordable, accessible housing and inclusive community models that empower adults with IDD to thrive with dignity, connection, and purpose.
Through storytelling and dialogue, this featured program invited attendees to imagine what is possible when housing, equity, and community are intentionally designed for everyone.
